PRINCETON POPULATION CHART

The largest population increases in the history of the village/city of Princeton occurred from 1870-1880 and 1890-1900: 22.1 and 21.9 percent, respectively.

The largest population decreases – 19.2 percent and 7.2 percent – occurred from 2000-2010 and 1920-1930, respectively.

Princeton first incorporated as a village in 1865. That charter was repealed and replaced in 1867.

Princeton incorporated as a city in 1920.

The 2020 Census numbers are expected to be available in May 2023.
