1950 HOUSES 75 YEARS LATER

Here is another quiz to test the memories of people of My Generation (1950s-1960s). Good luck!

Construction was booming in Princeton seventy-five years ago.

Princeton Times-Republic, April 7, 1950: “Among the new homes scheduled for starts in the near future or already started are the following: Leo Knaack, John Hotmar, Lloyd Marquardt, Luke Buchen, Morris Swed, Ed Krystofiak, Dr. A.G. Giese, Carl Lichtenberg, Phil Lehner Jr. and possibly one or two more not yet set on their plans.”

Shown below are nine houses. Some are showing their age more than others. Some have been remodeled, and trees and cars made it difficult to get good shots of a couple of the houses. Can you match the name to the house? I only knew five of them.

a. Leo Knaack

b. John Hotmar

c. Lloyd Marquardt

d. Luke Buchen

e. Morris Swed

f. Ed Krystofiak

g. Dr. A. G. Giese

h. Carl Lichtenberg

i. Philip Lehner Jr.
